Upcycling my poker cards! 52 reasons why I love you!

Hey guys!! How have you been? It's been awhile since I last updated my blog partly because I was busy finishing up my school assignments during this week of break.

So how about starting this new week with a tutorial?? It's been a long time since I last did one! So here's to share:

This is an upcycling project and I love how sentimental and sweet this turned out to be. I found a deck of old and overused poker cards lying around and thought why not make an album of love notes with it?

So these are my supplies: Gesso, October Afternoon 8X8 paper pack, basic supplies and definitely a deck of cards!

So, I applied Gesso on the cards so the words will appear clearer from the faint background!

Using the paper pad to decorate the back of my poker cards which look so old and dirty :X

Ta da, the finished product! 52 sweet reasons why I love you. Great as Valentine's Day gift for your special ones or anniversary gifts!

Tell my story

Heyyie guys! How have your weekend been? It’s the start of a new week so let’s fight off the Monday blues with a new tiffany blue layout titled – Tell my story! For Scraplicious September DT assignment, I decided to challenge myself to work on the Teresa Collins tell your story collection. Tiffany blue and orange is often not in my colour palette but I managed to work this out! Had lotsa fun as usual! If you are new to my blog and interested to know how to make the flowers, feel free to head to the tutorials section! Hope the step by step instruction guide will teach you on how to create one on your own.

When life gives you cloth, you make pencil cases :P

Good evening peeps! Spent my public holiday helping my friend sew 2 totes and 2 pencil cases! And for myself, I bought some cute made in Japan fabric from Chinatown and decided to turn them into 2 cute pencil cases!:) Yay! Enjoy!

London Loves Red!!

For Scraplicious DT for the month of August, I did a layout titled London Loves Red! Super ♥ the red theme I challenged myself to! Hope you guys like it! Oh, I miss London so much! :(:(

I was so happy I managed to keep all the Underground ticket stubs, London pass and even managed to buy a pack of Underground collection stickers! And oh, not forgetting the wonderful gold medal keepsake given to us when we visited Winston Churchill Britain at War experience!

            Used Sizzix- Crown to die cut the crown out! Yes, celebrating the Queen's Jubilee this year!

For interest, I developed an extra telephone booth photo and cut out one booth and added on as a pop-up!

First attempt at My Mind's Eye Tote Bag!

Hey guys!! What an exciting day today! I spent the whole day working on this project!:) This is the My Mind's Eye DIY tote collection! Look at the gorgeous fabric! Yay my first attempt at sewing a tote.

Project Life!

I am super duper happy that I finally got my hands on Project Life! Thanks so much to Jessie who managed to get this kit for me!! Shouting out to all Singaporean scrappers, head on down to Scraplicious to have your order made! Limited supplies worldwide!!

Volkswagen Lego Camper Van

Hey guys!! How have all of you been??:) Been enjoying my summer holidays travelling around and have just returned from my Overseas Community Involvement Programme (OCIP) in July and to see myself flying off again to Paris and London with my parents! It's certainly taken a toll on my health but I must say it was a good family time and bonding session in Europe! Enjoyed touring around on our own and immersing ourselves in their local culture and sampling their awesome food and meeting the awesome locals! We have many good experiences there! 

I had lots of fun in Indonesia doing my OCIP as well. Spent 2 weeks there serving the local community and spread awareness on disease prevention and did a few health screenings. In addition, we had an exchange with a few local academies there and had enjoyed ourselves very much and learnt a lot from each other!

That's the summary of what I did for the whole month of June/July and sadly, my holidays are nearing to an end with school starting on the 13 August! Having said that, I am also pretty excited for school to start! To learn more things and it would also mean I am closer to graduating! :D Would pull up my socks this new semester and hopefully be able to improve my CAP score and get to a good graduate program in the future. :)

And oh, besides the travelling, I have also spent this whole month catching up with friends and I have managed to build a Lego Camper Van. I love how much thought and effort have been put in to churn this design out and it is so detailed and are even customisable (if you have the patience and willingness to buy for the extra parts from Lego trade markets all around the world!)! My boyfriend did a black camper van by looking through my inventory and buying all the parts from all around the world! Much effort but highly satisfying at the end of the day!! Knowing you have the only black Camper Van with your initials attached to the bus and changing the car plate! So cool! Starting to appreciate Lego a lot more recently and is gonna ga-ga over their winter town 2012 collection! Whoa!! 

So I started building this from scratch and completed it in 2 days!! That's 1332 pieces!
