Muslin Flower Tutorial

Heyyie all, a quick tutorial on how to make a muslin flower! I love to use muslin because it is really absorb-able to almost all kinds of liquid medium. And fabric at an affordable price. So try it! :)

Paper Flower Tutorial

Heyyie all! Hope that you have enjoyed this festive season in Singapore! A good break for many since it's a stretch for almost 5 days long! And it's Chu qi (7th day of Chinese New Year) today, so Happy Birthday to all! This day is really important for the Chinese, especially the Cantonese. It's like another reunion dinner for everyone and we definitely cannot miss out on Yu Sheng (a dish where everyone would say good and auspicious phrases before eating it) ! Yum Yum!

So, I decided to take time out to do up this very first tutorial! Please give feedbacks on ways you think I can improve! Hope it's clear for everyone! Follow me on my blog if you haven't, so that you can be updated on more tutorials coming your way!:)

I got inspired to do this when I saw Prima flowers in the store. They are so pretty yet expensive so I decided to try making one as close as I could remember and there it is!:) Using only a flower punch!

Till my next entry or tutorial, take care and God Bless!:)

Let Go. Let God.

Heyyie guys! Been pretty stressed out lately with more workload and readings, as well as with my commitments. I was really thankful to be given the time and energy to scrap this layout just 2 days back on a quiet night, working my way through to the wee hours of the morning.

This is by far one of my favourite layouts ! Rethinking if I have too much on my plate yet forgetting that there’s an almighty God that I could lean and depend on.
My walk with Him has been stagnant for quite awhile and my quiet time pretty routine! I felt that this serves as a timely reminder to let go and let God, for He is my strength and refuge, a very present help in trouble!

It was really therapeutic working on it  and I especially heart this photo SO MUCH! This photo was recently taken during my trip to Egypt. It is the Sahara Desert, atop the White Mountains! What a breathtaking view!! But the reason why I chose this picture was for the awe of nature and the peace and serenity I felt standing on top of the mountains, something that words couldn't describe (at least that's what I felt).  And for God's creation! How detailed it was crafted!

I guess I have to release the burdens I was never meant to bear and to always travel light for He promised : “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Good News! Missing 2011 and welcoming 2012!

Yay to good news again! Been really busy these past few days trying to adapt back to the school environment and sorting out all the problems with my tutorial and module bidding! Sleepless nights trying to take photos of my stash and selling them online! HAHA! And oh, I have just completed my DT assignments! Just needa find time over the next few days to take photos of them!

Oh to the good news, my layouts are being published on Scrap And Art Magazine! A pleasant surprise for a new year! I know today is the 12th of January and almost reaching the third week, but rather than never saying it, I am going to pen down my New Year resolution!

First of all, I am thankful for a good year last year! Though busy, I have managed to accomplished quite a few things such as :
-Being able to travel to Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia and Egypt (whoa, I didn't know I travelled so much!:X )
-My significant first time at :
=Sitting on top of a moving bus
=Riding a motorcycle
=Riding a quartz bike
=Taking a hot air balloon
=Riding on a camel
=Riding on a 4-wheel safari jeep
=Sailing on a boat
=Eating sea urchin (Super sweet from Japan!)
-Being able to balance my studies and my OCIP commitment as a Program Director
-Joining the team of talented ladies at Scraplicious
-Being published in magazines and winning competitions
-And the nitty gritty things (that also contribute to what makes it such an awesome year!)

And so (drum roll), the resolutions I have for myself this year would be:
-Committing to walking closer to God (consistent QT and more knowledge)
-Balancing my studies (I mean being able to do well) with my many other commitments
-Being able to do my job well and deliver at Scraplicious
-Being a good leader and facilitator for my OCIP trip coming July
-Continue to work and improve my photography skills
-Being able to learn and try new things such as :
=Riding on a helicopter (touring New York :O )
=Sky diving/ Hand gliding
=Attending a professional cooking class
-Trying my best to give back to society by:
=Continuing my commitment to Kiva
=Have a 21st birthday plan for raising funds for my cause
=Helping the people around me!

Woo... I think that's pretty much on my plate! We shall see how it goes! Okay take care! Pictures of my assignments to be uploaded soon! *Love is in the air*

Till my next update, God Bless and enjoy your week ahead!
