Simple Book Binding Tutorial!

Heyyie guys! Hope your week has been good!:D For today's post, I am gonna share with you a simple book binding tutorial that can be done in less than 5 minutes!:D

Here's the final project!

So bear with me in this short tutorial with so many photos:P

                   Supplies List ( + hole punch tool)

                Fold the cardstock in half and score it.

Use a hole punch tool to poke holes through the cardstock (I forgot to add that into the supplies list!)

Thread the natural twine through the center hole

    Inside cover view: Leave about 4" length of twine as shown

  Front cover view: Then, thread the needle through the top hole

Inside cover view: After the needle come out from the top hole,                 thread it through the bottom hole

From the front cover view: Thread the needle through the middle                                hole again

           Lastly, secure the album by tying a dead knot!

                Tada! Done in less than 5 minutes!

PS: I used a button to hold an elastic hair band so that it will            not be damaged as it gets thicker in size.

Ampersand Tutorial

Heyyie guys!! It's been really a long while since I last blogged or scrapped! It has probably been 1 month? Been really worn out from attachments and so many things happening this month! Thankfully, I got a few days off and am now back on track with my layouts and Project Life!

So for Timeless Twine DT this month, I decided to do up a simple Ampersand (&) tutorial!



Materials you may need:
1. Heavy duty board
2. Paper piercer 
3. Timeless Twine thread
4. Needle
5. Cardstock
6. Stencil



Firstly, use a pencil(this is done in pen for better illustration*) to trace around the stencil or any cuts (Cameo cuts work very well too). 



Then, use a needle piercer to pierce through areas around the Ampersand (because the thread will form a straight line,so pierce more holes around the curves to get a smooth coverage).



And you are done!:D

A very professional looking Ampersand indeed!:)

Upcycling my poker cards! 52 reasons why I love you!

Hey guys!! How have you been? It's been awhile since I last updated my blog partly because I was busy finishing up my school assignments during this week of break.

So how about starting this new week with a tutorial?? It's been a long time since I last did one! So here's to share:

This is an upcycling project and I love how sentimental and sweet this turned out to be. I found a deck of old and overused poker cards lying around and thought why not make an album of love notes with it?

So these are my supplies: Gesso, October Afternoon 8X8 paper pack, basic supplies and definitely a deck of cards!

So, I applied Gesso on the cards so the words will appear clearer from the faint background!

Using the paper pad to decorate the back of my poker cards which look so old and dirty :X

Ta da, the finished product! 52 sweet reasons why I love you. Great as Valentine's Day gift for your special ones or anniversary gifts!

Origami bookmark tutorial

Heyyie all! As requested by some, this is the origami tutorial I promised to be uploaded this weekend! This bookmark is really easy to make and trust me, it can be done within 15 minutes! So try it now! I learnt this technique from YouTube and truth be told, I frequent YouTube always for inspiration and there are just SO MANY tips and techniques we can all learn from, and they are FREE (at least most of it) ! ;)

Flower Doily Tutorial

Heyyie again! My fourth and probably last tutorial for the week! Till I find more time to do up more tutorials! Or is there any techniques that you guys are interested to learn? I incorporated the Paper Flower Tutorial into this tutorial! Play around and add any embellishment to it! Try it now!:)
