Happy Mail Day!!

Heyyie guys! Just a really short update today! Sorry I haven't been blogging much as I was so busy accompanying my sis and bro-in-law around in Singapore and catching up with friends for this short holiday period! 

Amidst all these, I was so excited and happy to receive my mail all the way from US! So many spools with such yummy colours to play with! Watch out for my upcoming projects with these twines at the end of January! :) Will update again there!

How's everyone? Whatcha doing this January? Preparing for Valentine's Day! Oh, I have a few to-do crafts up my sleeve :P

2013 Resolutions

Happy New Year!! Starting 2013 with a bang! For Scraplicious DT assignment, I started with a layout at first and wanted to add in so many embellishments that I ended up with 2 layouts instead! So many thanksgiving and resolutions for year 2012/2013! And best of all, I LOVE Crate On Trend Collection SO MUCH!! The colours are so vibrant and just so MY STYLE! I can't wait to scrap every bit of the leftovers!! Watch out for more projects soon!

And for this year, I have decided to embark on Project Life - documenting my weekly journey through 2013 using the Clementine Collection! How lovely and vibrant the colours are! Follow me for updates ya?:) And 'Like' my Facebook page - Simply Handmade. It's a platform for me to showcase my works!

Thankful for 2012:
-Loving family and friends
-Able to raise $1500 for the Movement of the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore(MINDS) during my 21st Birthday!
-Went for a 2 weeks overseas community involvement program to Medan, Indonesia 
-To be a designer for Scraplicious
-Growing in the Word

These are all that I can think of now but I believe there are certainly more things to be thankful for. May 2013 be a great year too!:)

2012 Altered Christmas Frame

Heyyie guys!! Happy Blessed New Year to all!!:) Gone with the bad and welcome to a new year!! Wishing all good health, peace and love! So, ending 2012 on a good note, may I now present my 2012 Christmas Altered Project as the last project of the year!:)

Using the 12X12 Prima antique brown frame, I painted it white to create a new look!

Project Love!

Heyyie guys! How have all of you been? Whee, it's only 3 days to Christmas!:) Have you gotten your Christmas gifts?:) In line with the season of giving, I decided to prepare Christmas gifts for all my loved ones and friends!:) 

Here is my product:



Interested to know how I prepared them? Here's how:



I bought these bottles from one of the provision shops recommended by Esther Lin! It's definitely cheaper to purchase them in bulk of 50s! Remember to wash them clean first ya!

And yay, Christmas shopping! I bought packets of chocolate and marshmallows to add them into my bottles!





And there was all the designing, printing and cutting! I love using Avery labels because it comes with a free software to design and personalise them! Then again, I was really irritated halfway through because it ain't exactly that user-friendly, especially when I am so BAD in IT-related gadgets! 



Ta-da! Oh, and I added nice cardstock to the top to decorate it!

Cameo Christmas Shadowbox!

Hey guys!! It's almost 2 weeks to Christmas! Are you in the midst of preparing gifts for your loved ones? Or desperately in search of ideas?

Why not start with a simple handmade Christmas card? When was the last time we actually received a card from the postman?! If you are in for something more challenging, why not decorate a photo frame and add your favourite photo as a gift? Or you could also decorate any tins/boxes with awesome Christmas papers and packed your favourite home-made cookies in them? 

Still not sure how else to start? Google or find ideas on Pinterest! It's a great place to find lovely ideas and inspiration!

So for Scraplicious assignment this month, I created my own shadowbox from papers using the Cameo shadowbox digital files! They are from the Lori Whitlock Collection! I can't express how much I love Cameo and playing with it makes me so happy!

Christmas Lantern & Album!

Heyyie again! Next up, my second altered project in a row! For Scraplicious DT assignment this month, I used an old plastic container, cleaned it up and decorate it with the lovely My Mind's Eye papers!

I made a stand to elevate the container and guess what, it's using my favourite toilet roll! I love adding them in altered projects because of how versatile they are and yes, we are playing a negligible part in recycling! HAHA!

Christmas altered album!

Hey guys! I am truly sorry for my long absence as I had some problems uploading posts on the blog! Thankfully it's all over now and I have transferred all my photos into Photobucket instead!

For Scraplicious DT assignment this month, I decided to play with some Echo Park Christmas papers! How lovely they are and so festive!:) Such a traditional style! 

I completed a parcel box from the scrap papers from this kit and added a Hambly transparency surrounding it so that it will be more sturdy! Enjoy!
